Weights Given Coins

I have a stupid question.
How can I know the weight for a given coin? I understand the concept but is there a table somewhere where the numbers are given?
For example, I am doing a type set and when it comes to Peace Dollars hoe would a more common 1925 in MS67 compare to a tougher 1928 in MS66?
I want as high a grade as I can afford but also would like to know if I am giving up any points.
Thanks

In the type set I'm doing there is no weight given to rarity of a date, so for instance, a 28-P is not weighted any more than a 22-P.
However, designations in certain series get bonuses -- for example, a Jeff need to have FS or gets banged -3 points; Merc needs to have FB or gets banged -3 points; Copper needs RD designation, etc. Some issues give bonuses for DCAM designations also.
So you are saying that in a TYPE set the Peace Dollar will go strictly by the grade. I can see the FB on dimes and FS on nickels would affect the weighting. It seems odd that, even in a type set, a rarer date would get some consideration.
I like it that way because I want to have eye appeal reign in my type set and higher grades usually will have better eye appeal, all other things equal.
Thanks again.
Those were my thoughts exactly, and that's why I started a type set. I can buy the most common dates in the highest date/eye appeal possible to have a nice looking set. Neat when you can pick up a killer Morgan for under $200, or PR69 DCAM Ike for $30, or Roosie, etc.
Which set are you doing?
At the bottom of the page, you will see the words View Set Composition. Click on this and you will be taken to a page that displays all the coins in that set and their respective Weights.
In some sets, there are also Bonus points awarded to specific attributes such as FB, FS, etc. These will usually be listed under the descriptive paragraph on the opening page.
I hope this helps.
I have just begun a type set and am concentrating on dollars. There are 14 different type of US Dollars in the type set. There is no registry listing for this but I enjoy dollars and it is what I'd like to own.
Perhaps when I get this done I can move on to others but this is challenging enough.
I don't really understand the over-all rating. When a Bust Dollar gets more weight than a Morgan and the Bust Dollar may be an AU55 I don't understand how that affects the set rating.
It isn't really that important because I can only do what I can do financially.
MY MAIN QUESTION IS ANSWERED. Within any series (ie Peace, Morgan, etc.) the date of the coin does not matter, just the grade.
But how does the over-all rating of a type set work when a Bust Dollar may have a lower MS grade but is weighted higher?
