I can see the future of modern cards! Intersesting??

Anyone disagree with me that soon real soon, we will start seeing topps upper deck donruss etc.. start going with instead of 1 jersey card per box or 1 auto..

1 graded vintage card per box. most cards will be in the 4-6 range with some big hits in the 8 - 10's. If this happens watch out vintage collectors.

If that happens we'll see a bunch of 1974 Tito Fuentes PSA 5, which will be excitedly touted as "rare vintage" by their teenage sellers.

Seriously, anything that gets modern collectors interested in older cards can only be good. That's why I think Topps Heritage is cool.

That is an interesting thought. Taking it a step further.....maybe a higher grade....8 or 9...to replace the big chase cards? Think you are on to something Kuhlmeister. Regards.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
  • I'd see it as a good thing - they can't "fabricate" nice vintage cards like they do auto's, jerseys, "1 of 1's", etc. and it'd get younger people interested in vintage cards.

Didn't a company do something like that a few years back.

Like the TriStar Hidden Treasures boxes?

    Topps....here is an idea....

    2006 heritage

1 1957 card per box....cracked from a psa holder 6 or more.....bought of the secondary market...8 per case. one 9 of each were bought and randomly inserted....

    wow...8 57's per case...CRAZY!!!

better then ONE JIM GREENGRASS AUTO ON A WORTHLESS CARD!!!

I can see the purchase of cases go up if each Box of Heritage had a graded 57T card in it! Even if they were nice 6's, I would be excited!

How's that for an idea for Topps Heritage next year? Of course the price would go up a bit but that won't stop anyone.

    Good one Chris!

I bet they would go to an insert card of the original set...with maybe one each of few high dollar chase cards.

I think the GU market is tired...time for something new.

    I agree Ax
The GU stuff is just overdone - time to move on. I would like them to include random inserts for memorabilia like they have done before.

First off, only topps could do that, as the other companies have no past...Im sure no one wants some graded UD vintage!

Buy backs are expensive, the companies can do far less and still sell product. Remember there are still plenty of idiots, urrr
collectors who are willing to slap down 100 bucks for 2 jerseys per box! Look how long fleer rode that pony?

  • In keeping with the new card spirit, before they were slabbed they would have to numbered. You could get a 1968 Joe Azcue which would be numbered x/24 in PSA5, x/12 in PSA6 and maybe a 1 of 1 PSA7.....

Topps originals was an amazing product. At first glace they loaded it with a bunch of semi stars of the 80's and 90's but
the chance of pulling autographed Yogi and Mays real cards is very nice. Hopefully they will make another series

You know how I feel - any HOF card with an auto is super in my book!

My best pull in the past year...still waiting for a Yogi or Willie!

I have several Topps Originals signed Bench cards. Those were awesome, and very limited issues too.
