I am interested in buying this coin but am curious about his note that the date is set further to the right than normal....is this coin legit? Thank you in advance for all your input

Yes it is.

Mispositioned dates -- too high, too low, too far left, and too far right -- are common in the Morgan series and are regarded as minor varieties.

Dennis, do you know that seller? How is his grading?

Never heard of or dealt with him, but his feedback speaks volumes to me.

The coin looks more like a 63 to me, but not a 64. I love it as a 62.

Looks to me like he is using the old split grade system, he gave it 62/64 which I took as 62 obverse, 64 reverse. I agree, by today's grading looks like a 63. Nice pickup of the doubled ear variety.

Thank you all so much!! I just have to keep telling you all that because I am so ignorant when it comes to most stuff with coins that I would probably buy a lot of junk unknowingly without everyone's help and input here!! You all are great and I just wanted to let you all know!! I can't wait to get the coin!
