Football team lists?

I was just curious if anyone would have an idea where I could go to obtain a complete listing of all cards produced for a particular football team? I purchased a data base for my Bucs cards that went through 1999 (the last year I plan on trying to complete this behemoth set), but I'd like to make sure I am covering my bases. For example, my list doesn't include the fleer 'action' cards of the late 70s and early 80s, so I can't help but think there are other admissions.

I currently have what I think to be a complete run of cards from 1976 to 1994, and a good chunk of 95-99, but I like to be thorough. I figure I will continue to buy team sets from 2000 on, but there are just way too many cards now. It's impossible to collect one player, let alone a whole team.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Is this where you got your checklist from?

    Checklist

I got the RAMS version off ebay and think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. The really cool thing about them is that if you find omissions on the one you get, you can send them to the guy who puts them together and he will send you updated files to print out. You also get whatever additions anyone else finds. My RAMS one had some major omissions (but was still very complete back to 1948), so I sent them to the guy and a couple weeks later I got a printable file with the corrections. I got sick and tired of trying to make my own with old Beckett catalogs and price guides.

I actually bought it from ebay a couple years ago....was like $5 for I hopped on it.

This book looks handy...just what I am looking for....doesn't matter about after 2004, as I plan on stopping at 2000.

    Thanks for the link.

    What an absolute terrific idea

I've been into collecting cards of my favorite teams for years now so this will definetly be handy

  • Here is a link to that guy's ebay items.
I'm not really into baseball, but it looks like the BB checklists are not as complete as FB. They seem to only include the major brands' base cards, no parallels, inserts, or oddball, as opposed to the FB lists which contain everything imagineable.

Recieved my Cowboys checklist in the mail today and i absolutely love it. He did a great job on it IMO and it even states which are rookies

I told my wife if she needs the rest of the night i'll be downstairs checking off all my cards lol . I feel like a kid again but then again i guess thats what this hobbies all about

P.S if any of you guys have some older Cowboy cards ( 60's - 70's ) that you might be willing to sell or trade plmk . I have about 50 - 75 % of 1970 Cowboys so i can definetly use some help

    thanks, Dave
  • KOBE - Wow, you got it pretty quick! Not that I'm some sort of a spokesperson for that seller, but I'm glad you got it and liked it.

I always use to look forward to getting new checklist books back in the 70's, for my BB cards. Even though I basically had the same cards that I had the time I got all the previous checklists, I could still re-enjoy my cards every time I went through them.

I have been taking my sweet time checking off my RAMS cards on this new checklist, looking at each card, reading the little blurbs on the back, and just enjoying my time with them.

I think I am going to go ahead and order it for the Bucs...will be nice to keep as well, so will try not to mess it up too much as I mark it off.

I am assuming it's done by year, then broken down by vendor within that year? Will make it a ton easier for me to mark off. Also, does he include the fleer action cards from the late 70s and early 80s (before they went to individual player cards)?

Thanks! I am glad you're happy with the book...making it a lot more comfortable ordering mine.
  • Axtell - Yes, he does. Or at least in mine there is. They seem to go from 1976-88?
