Wow, what a bargain on a Ryan RC!

Ryan "Rookie"

I truly hope someone doesn't actually bid on this thing. Hopefully the guy's 0 feedback will scare them off. Is there no EBay policy against outright fraud?

    Correct Link

Wow, what a card. I guess the back sat in the sun since 1968.

When cut and pasting, don't include the "http" twice.

    Working link

edited to say: coachh beat me to it.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

Also, if you look at the bottom right corner of the back, you'll see the word "reprint"

Not only is it a reprint, but it's trimmed all to hell. It has hardly any border on the sides.

    Hi-

I'm the high bidder on your Nolan Ryan "Rookie". The only reason I placed a bid is so that ebay can track the auction and pull it tomorrow. I would highly suggest that you end this listing ASAP before you get in seious trouble for selling an obvious reprint as a real card. The real card has a yellow back, and lacks the word "reprint" on the back. Hopefully you had no idea, but I always figure it's better to err on the side of caution.

    Cheers -

I think withdrawcashfromchecking doesn't have a very high balance in his account (if you know what I mean) for bidding $250 on a severely trimmed Ryan with a white reverse that says reprint.

On the other hand, he was outbid by somebody named mudflap02. image

Check out seller's response to my question:

    You asked:
"You realize, I hope, that this is not an actual 1968 Ryan rookie?"

I'm sorry,Did I say this card was original?

  • """"""On May-15-05 at 08:09:26 PDT, seller added the following information:

this is not an original, but a flawless reprint. """"
Now looking for a 1950 Bowman Baseball Box as pictured below.

Haha I got the same email. How does he expect to sell the card when he cancels all the bids?
