Nice selection of coins man! Infact, I got you started on the Trade Dollar image Hey...how do you deal with the problem of glare and reflection when taking pics of the coins in slabs? Very frustrating for me.

It is an entirely difficult problem, much moreso with small, thin coins with bright toning in NGC slabs. It seems that NGC universally places coins in their holders at a weird angle. Add the fact that the edges are square and not beveled, and it's a recipe for disaster.

But whether you are shooting PCGS, NGC, OR ANACS you have to bring the bulb filament (glare point) just up to the edge of the bezel ring, and no further. I've tried homemade diffusers also, but nearly every combo is different.

If you see one of my Swiss coins being sold under the "Ultimate Swiss" banner in an NGC or PCGS slab where the image looks mah-velous, it's because it was imaged raw before I sent it to the TPG. image
