I tried to open the set it is in, but the set is superglued shut or something. I am puzzled how to get it out without damaging it. Sorry I did not immediately pm you. I do have paypal now-I figured it would be more convenient that MO

Sounds like there are a couple of us after that '57 It also looks as if we are supposed to make our offers in public on the board so as to bump the thread and create a bidding war.

Yeah- the 57 is indefinately removed. I need to get it out of the holder. I was planning on keeping other coins from that set, so I can't sell the whole thing. Its really quite odd- the case is melted together. I have no idea why anyone would melt together the plastic on a proof holder. I can not crack the case because it will probably damage some of the coins, and some of the coins are very close the edges. I am really sorry I did not notice this earlier. I assumed it was just some glue that could easily be removed.

I also apologize for my lack of experience in selling items online. I managed to open another bank account, and get paypal working. I am leaving all the choices for shipping completely up to the buyer; I will also accomodate other requests. I have just been trying to get rid of some of my less favorite coins since I am not going to be able to keep them during college.

I believe I can purchase a similarly toned 1957 proof penny nearby; The next date that I can check is the first monday of March. Hopefully the dealer will have it, and the coin will NOT be in a sealed case.

This thing has turned out horribly- I got the penny out but I damaged one of the coins I was hoping to keep. I will make a new post once I get things sorted out. I am very sorry that suggesting a bidding war was insulting; I just assumed that was how things worked on the board. The only F/S/T board I am familiar with has a common practice of users posting offers in the thread until the buyer accepts or no one else offers. I am going to try to wait and see how things work on this board before I attempt to sell again. I am sorry for this, and I am sorry I am not online frequently enough for some users. I have a lot of things going on in my life right now, but I should be able to get everything fixed by spring break. I will send a pm to everyone who expressed interests and give all their offers more weight (or an additonal free coin when they buy it), even if they are monetarily lower. Any points in the right direction or how this board generally operates in a pm would be appreciated. Once again I am sorry.
