ebay powersellers?

I was just offered to be an ebay powerseller, but I'm not really sure what that means. Every time I see it next to an id I just ignore it. Is there anything hidden that I should know about?

Are you sure the offer is legit? Lots of phishers are using that as a ploy to hijack accounts. That program does offer some benefits but I could care less about it from a buyers perspective.
Looking for a Glen Rice Inkredible and Alex Rodriguez cards
  • CD,

don't click on the link in your email. It might be spoof. Looks like ebay with matching graphics/logo but it's not. I've been getting those invitations before and kept ignoring. I onetime read an email inviting me. The only thing is I haven't sold big $$ to become a Powerseller. Also there was a 1 typo on the email I got.

If you want to know about powerseller or if you qualify. Go directly to ebay NOT on the email link.

Also received the e-mail, but ignored it. Probably a spoof because I'm not a big time seller.

Nope, email was legit. I signed up and now I have the power seller icon next to my name and all the perks that go along with being a power seller, such as........... having the power seller icon next to my name. I honestly don't understand why this would be something I have to sign up for, but it's free so why not. Right now I'm a bronze power seller, but if I can do over $150,000 in sales a month I can make titanium. You heard me right..... TITANIUM!!! Then the world will be mine!!!!!!!

They should make an icon for "scammer sellers".
A little cartoony guy with a mask next to their names.

CD, maybe you have your sights on Titanium sales of $150K a month image but I can tell you as an irregular $3K Silver Power Seller ... it don't mean a damn thing more than being a $1K Bronze Power Seller except the icon changes slightly. The wonderful perks are:

    1) You get a cool logo next to your ID.
    2) The cool logo makes bidders more confident, 'cause you sell lots of stuff.
    3) You get tipped off about 10-cent listing days etc.
    4) You carry more weight in a dispute, and I think you can request that a neg be removed without jumping through quite so many hoops.
    5) When some whiny snot sends you a threatening e-mail, you can reply hautily: "I am a Bronze Power Seller, so bow down and kiss my feet!"
    6) I think you might get free listing software that's better than the general-issue software. It's not available for a Mac, so I can't say more.
    7) If you slip below your $1K or $3K or whatever monthly level, eBay sends you an e-mail stating that you are about to be demoted, so hurry up and SELL SELL SELL!
    8) You get a cool logo next to your ID.
  • take the powerseller icon, I think its kinda cool and proof of your feedback aeceeding 98%, 100 feedbacks and over $1,000/month for 3 consecutive months. ultimately it doesn't mean much, but it is kinda nice and you will get a bunch of powerseller stuff in the mail.

    its free!!

    GG
  • care less about being a power seller have turned it down 20 times , DOES NOTHING FOR SALES.
