Hey! I wasnt that far off! I typically grade tough anyway so that means I'm right on! LOL!
Yeah, your images are very big and micro grading comes into effect. But your not asking grade anyway so in this case doesn't matter what I grade it at .........it's a neato coin!
very well struck with great toning on reverse, but obverse makes it a 64 at very best......nice coin though!! Let us know if PCGS is as convinced as you that it's a 64!
Can I take it that you won't be sniping that one? Figured you wouldn't be putting it up here until afterwards if so. Looks like baboon nite on Teletrade to me. Quacks already have a '73 PCGS PR69DCAM jeff at $95 and the highest paid price before this was $47(including the premium).
I bet you could make a killing selling those same ICG toners over there tonight.
I missed that you had that one also. I decided to put together a matching morgan gold toned rim "One per Year" set in 63/64 for some fun. Trying for "O's" for most of the set since I lived in New Orleans most of my life. Cheap, decent & matching gold toning as close as possible is the object. Nothing special, but here's the first one. Have my eye on a couple of other cheap gold rimmed one's tonight.

<< <i>Hi K6! nice coin dude! I would call it a 63 >>
You would? Do you have any like that for sale at 63 money?
whats the grade anyway?

<< <i>Hey Eric, nice coin- I know you said 64, but that looks good at 65 to me. >>
I think there could be an outside shot at 5, but I wouldn't count on it. One thing about this coin is that it is very well struck for this date.

<< <i>K6AZ----I'd still like to see if PCGS thinks it's a 64......any thought of trying to cross over?? >>
It's at PCGS and it will make 64.
<< <i>I sense a wager coming on...
It would be like taking candy from a baby on this one.

Why don't you tell him the story about that coin, who it was bought from raw, what that seller graded it, and what PCGS said.

Purchased when I was new to the morgan scene from K6AZ, 63, 63, and I still have it.

That's what I was going to say -- that is an exceptional strike for an 88-O, and harder to find than most would think. Great pickup!!
