Whitman type set albums, two volume set

BaleyBaley Posts: 22,658 ✭✭✭✭✭
A predecessor to the later and more popular, Dansco 7070 Type Set Album, this older pair of Whitman type set albums was published in 2 volumes containing a more comprehensive survey of US coinage: half cents through quarters (small coins) and half dollars and dollars (large coins).

Here are some new pictures of volume one, out of the bank recently for an addition.

I'm missing 10 of the coins to complete both sets, mostly 1793 copper and small eagle silver

here is the early copper, many of these coins was the first of that type i ever acquired

Guess you have Type Fever, Baley...

There's a limit to which coins I'd break out of slabs to put in an album, so I won't be doing a Whitman set.

Beautiful sets Baley. You and Barry are both killing me with those!!!

I'm working on a 7070, and a 7094 Commem type set, but I've been looking for the 2-volume Whitman albums for a while (just posted a wtb on the bst thread). Don't suppose you have a second Whitman album set for sale? image

I agree with this, so many of the rarer types are going to be low grade and could have minor problems.. even then the early copper and small eagles are going to be tough

Don't suppose you have a second Whitman album set for sale?

No, sorry DJC, just have this one to house my "B" type coins (most of these coins started off in the Dansco, and some I've had since childhood)

These books are older, not sure if Whitman makes them new any more

Here are some pics from the other pages

The tiny half dimes could not be well photographed in the album, so I removed them for these shots

I had the old Whitman as well when I was doing that stuff - my early copper was scraggly then, but not now!!
