We just arrived back from Central States with a boat load of new coins. One that we thought might be of interest is our 1895 Dollar.
We bougth this coin in an Accugrade A-63 holder (translation= Proof 63 but cleaned). Our opinion was that it was overgraded and we did not want to offer it to our customers in this holder. So we crossed it to PCGS. The result? Now we have a coin that we are willing to sell to our customers and agree much more with PCGS's grade, PR50.

So.....PCGS is saying that the coin was NOT cleaned?
OR just looking the other way because it's a '95?

It takes a lot for PCGS to bag a 95. Same goes for the 93-S.
