I started on '69 Master Set about 1 year ago. I have tried to get all HOF cards at PSA 8 or better and that is about how far I've gotten. I am working on getting more White Letter Variations, but I last purchased psa 8 Gaylord Perry WL Variation and it really set me back.

There are several members here who truly specialize in the '69 set and can pretty much tell you anything statistically speaking about whatever cards you're looking for. They also have plenty to sell you if you're interested.

zodiacmindwarp (sp?) has really answered a lot of dumb questions I had.

As far as sellers on e-bay I have had good dealings w/ the following:
    71toppsman
    aja4rayb
    bbexchange

pm me if you have specific questions or whatever, I will try to point you in right direction.

This is only a starting point, but I hope it helps direct you in some direction....

Here's a pointer- DON'T DO IT!! RUN NOW BEFORE YOU'RE IN TOO DEEP.

Since you're not going to listen, have fun with it and don't put all your faith in the grading. You can still find lots of good raw copies if you look in the right places. Do a search for 1969 Topps every now and then, but look in the categories that are not under Sportscards.

What are your collecting goals as far as what minimum grade, how fast do you want to build it, etc? As was stated earlier, there are lots of knowledgable '69 set collectors on here who can give you good advice.

Hey, GOOD LUCK. I was born in 1969 and I do like the set. I have been mulling it over for weeks and almost purchased a few cards but I am so in DEEP with the 1978 set that it would not be a prudent thing for me to not stay focused on my worthless modern crap set. Besides, I'm not sure I am willing to ruin my reputation of collecting crap.

    Good Luck!
