Who has the scarcest British monarch?

Not the scarcest British coin, but the scarcest monarch to issue coins. Mine is probably a cut halfpenny of Edward The Confessor (1042-66) And we could include Ireland and Scotland monarchs in the contest

    I don't know that I have any really scarce monarchs. I am pretty sure Python will be hard to beat in this area.

    I am not sure what the scarcest would be... but if a portrait is required, some consideration would have to be given to Harold II 1066..., Richard III and Edward VIII (in no particular order)

    Harold II is one of the scarcest. Henry I is also difficult to get.

    Well Cromwell was never a monarch so we can kinda brush that difficulty under the carpet.

    Edward V is the hardest of them all.

    I had a modern pattern crown of Edward VIII (Not the Maklouf junk).

    The monarchs which will cause no end of problems are thus;

    Edward the Martyr
    Harthacnut
    Harold II
    William II
    Henry I
    Matilda
    Henry IV
    Edward V and perhaps Richard III
    James II can be tough, depends what denomination you're after.

    Edward VIII is a bit of an oddity because there's some dispute over whether his coins were ever legal tender or not. They hadn't yet gained Royal approval. Which would mean they were technically never released legal, but a few got out by accident.

    I know Cromwell was not King... but he was featured on coins of England and they are not easy to find. I just took upon myself to expand the question with respect to English coins that feature portraits...
