    F117, Air force guy?

    Here is some basic info on your coin, I'll add a bit more later.

    Switzerland, the Canton (State) of Bern
    1797 One -quarter Thaler KM#160
    I'm not sure if yours is the large or small date variety.
    Its composition is silver but I'm not sure of the fineness.

    VG=$20.00
    F=$50.00
    VF=$100
    EF=$180.00
    no listings above EF

    paraphrased from Krause: Bern is a city and Canton in west central Switzerland, founded as a military outpost in 1191. It became an imperial city with mint right in 1218. Admitted to the confederation as a Canton in 1353.
