What if I sold non-cards items on eBay?

My elderly dad does not trust eBay to sell his coins and antique tools (even though he has bought some stuff in the past). He and I talked today about me selling some of his items, knowing how well I am doing selling my cards. Here's a question. If I start selling his items under my current ID (feedback=80), would that scare some cards bidders off? Or would you recommend I start another ID for the purpose of selling his items?

  • I would say that half of my transaction on ebay are card-related. I use only one ID for all of my auctions and I don't think it's hurt me anyway. However, I'm not a heavy seller (about 350 transactions total) so if you are then maybe different rules will apply in your case.
  • i sell everything i can to make money, not just sports memorabilia.why not? card buyers are looking for cards.ive also bought cards from non card sellers and never gave it a second thought.as long as the auctions were honest.

Feedback is important...............so I wouldn't want to start at 0 again.........

I think most people look at the feedback amount and not the individual feedbacks..... ...

You will lose more bids with ZERO feedback then selling items you do not usually sell.

I don't think it matters, either. You would probably benefit from your current feedback rating in the non-card auctions, as opposed to starting with zero again. I doubt many people look at exactly what you sold to get your rating (you can't look after 90 days anyway).
