I completed my most favorite set in 1984 and here's my favorite card (and player) from that set:

'70 Felipe Alou. First card from the first pack I ever opened.
Isn't collecting all about being sentimental?

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Here is my favorite card and my favorite player of all time. I think in his prime no one else was better.

This was my favorite because this was vintage Sweetness. I remember I thought he could fly.

  • I don't own one yet, but it has to be the '53 Bowman color Pee Wee Reese, turning the deuce... just a beautiful card from a beautiful set. Looking for a well centered PSA 8...

I love that card...saw a sweet 5 on ebay a week or so ago, but bidding closed above $350, which is more than I want to spend on a card just to have because I like it image

My favorite card is 1971 thurman munson #5.

I'll throw my vote in for the '53BC Pee Wee. Wonderful card from a gorgeous set. I was thrilled when I picked mine up.

I really don't collect baseball, but I love the Yogi Berra card from the 1953 Bowman color set. An absolutely stunning card in high grade.

My favorite Marino card is the one that I just picked up - a 1988 Monty Gum sticker that was only released in the UK. It's the top right card in the scan. VERY scarce.

It's not my all-time favorite, but a sharp new card is this Topps Chrome Black Refractor of Derek Jeter:

That card is a beauty!! Have you considered sending it into PSA? That's one of my favorite cards too!

At some point probably, but I have other cards that I need to have certified/slabbed first before I get this one done. All three autographs were obtained in-person, and it took me over 10 years to get it completed. Mays was the last, as I had to take a bus down to a show in NYC to get his signature to complete it. The card isn't in the greatest of condition (rounded corners and a crease), but that's just fine with me. image

I was watching the Robert Edward Auctions closely, since they had one up for bids. It finished at over $1500, and didn't have the nicest signatures on it. If you can believe it, I actually have another copy of this card signed that I picked up from MG Auctions a year or so ago (certified GAI/DNA), and I'll probably get that one slabbed and sell it long before I get this one slabbed. This is one of those "it gets buried with me" kind of cards (along with the autographed Williams and Bill Russell rookies).
