What are you talking about? There's nothing at all "weird" about the bidding. This is a very typical Ebay auction. Did you make a mistake and intend to have a link to some other auction? So to answer your question: Yes, it is just you.
I think people who bid twice in a row are simply unfamiliar with an auction sniping service. They bid, let's say, $30.00. Then after thinking about how badly they want the card for awhile, they go back and bid again (even though they are still the high bidder), maybe $40.00.
That's just my opinion. That and the fact you're paranoid.
I casually build the 71 set in psa 8s and bid every now and then if i can pick em up cheap.Every bidder on that list is a familiar name for 71s. In fact they are usually the ones that outbid me. I have also sold cards to them as well and they are all solid ebayers.
Ax - I think we all feel better knowing that you are just paranoid. Paranoia is treatable, and much more entertaining. Shill bidders are akin to an incurable cancer.
On a different note. I justed busted four packs of 85 Topps FB. Dent RC and Marcus Allen, plus many commons. They are yours if you want. PM me.

Actually, most buyers on eBay don't snipe -- as hard as that might be to believe for us who take it for granted.
If everybody sniped, NOTHING would receive any bids until the final minute! >>
How true this is - and thank goodness everyone doesn't snipe. It would freak me out to see all of my auctions with no bidders at all - until the end...

That and the fact I wanted this card just made me overanalyze.
Thanks.

I'm not paranoid...at least, the voices in my head say I'm not.
And as far as the bidding thing, it makes sense they posted a bid, thought about it, then posted a higher one. I guess he was the paranoid one
