Original test is here.
Here is the answer. Those that guessed that I was somewhat miffed by my submission were right about my motivation for posting. I think this was a bit of fun and thank all for giving their input.
Card A:
Card B:
I was really really hoping for a 9/10 on that second card. In my opinion it is far superior to the other. For those that were wondering, the back of both cards look great and are perfectly centered. This is another example of the type grading inconsistencies that are driving people crazy.
For me, the PSA 8 card is so much better than the PSA 9, that I am going to downgrade my set registry and put the 8 in it. The question to you all is, do I let this slide or crack the holder and resubmit?

R.I.P Johnny Cochrane.
Upper right corner of the 8 is too weak for it to receive a 9.
It's an 8 with great eye appeal. Enjoy it as such and save yourself further aggravation ...

Just an aside, I froze my balls off at the heritage classic your avatar so proudly shows. My beer actually froze in my cup.
I use grading companies as guidelines for what the card's grade is...everyone looks at different qualities in a card.
Find cards that meet your criteria regardless of their particular grade.

If the card doesn't warrant a qualifier, then the corners determine the grade. Period.
That applies mostly to modern stuff that doesn't have the same problems as older cards (i.e. paper loss).
I've been able to fine tune my submissions to almost all 9's and 10's on 1970's-Present cards by thinking this way. My last batch had 50 of 100 PSA 10's with almost no PSA 8's.
Overall eye appeal really doesn't mean anything in the grading world, even though they say it does. Corners are all that matters.
