Will this catch on? Paypal has pretty much a monopoly

GreenZap. Uh huh. Great name. They're going to take all paypal's action.

  • Paypal can never be sued for being a monopoly because their main attraction is letting you collect credit card payments. The argument is, just open up a merchant account if you don't want to use paypal. A lot of these ebay sellers under report their earnings to the IRS, but with a merchant account, they would have to report every single credit card charge, and charge sales tax for buyers that are in the same state as the sellers, so paypal is safe unfortunately.

  • They don't ask for your creditcard info or checking info when you sign up. Just your name and mailing address, and hey if it's $25 for free added to your account during sign up so what have you got to lose. I didn't give out any personal info, all I did was just pre-register. I can always back out and never use Greenzap, but hey at least I still get $25. plus $5. for everyone else who pre-registered. Without giving any personal info. I remember when Paypal first started, I got in when it just began and recieved $25 from Paypal just for pre-registering I remember everyone said Paypal was a scam too and watch out, I didn't give them any personal info either, but gradually as I used paypal, as it got more popular it started changing and then they started requesting a creditcard number then when ebay bought them out they required a checking number if you still want to continue to use Paypal. The same with Bidpay however bidpay was not as popular and went under fast, but hey I still got $25. free from them too to use on ebay, and I think Greenzap will probley go under soon too after a year or so, but hey just to sign up and get a free $25. plus $5. for everyone who pre-registers, count me in. Whether they go under or not, You never have to use greenzap but you still get $25. You can always close your account. But I think you owe it to your self to take advantage of the free money being offered.

    Jery,
you are a decent shill. Not too strong or spammy in your technique and not afraid of casting doubt on your product in order to gain credibility and get people to sign up. You probably will get a few people because of it. Well played.

  • Check out this site.
You need to scroll down and start at the bottom to really follow the discussion. While I am not sure this is an outright scam, I am quite sure that GreenZap's business model is fatally flawed and very few people will ever see their "free money." They are not sending you a check or MO as somebody asked in this thread. They will credit your account IF and WHEN they evey actually see the light of day. And I bet even then you will not be able to make a withdrawal of this free money. Not too much is harmed by signing up. They do get your e-mail address though and no promises not to sell it to spammers. I have signed up on a lark with an e-mail that I use only for things that require a valid address but I don't want to hear from. But I'm not holding my breath either!image
