New Submission Policy proposal to combat trimming

Here's an idea I had after reading a thread on another board. How about this idea for submissions from now on. I'm tired of seeing cards "slip through the cracks", such as when a card is slabbed and graded, but numerous cards with adjacent cert numbers are rejected as "Evidence of trimming." How about if a submission has a high percentage of cards rejected for this (say 25% or so), the entire submission is rejected, with a refund for all cards except the ones determined to be trimmed? PSa is still making money, and we as collectors will have fewer things to worry about.

The floor is now open to the peanut gallery.

This idea has about as much chance of being implimented as Don West being calm doing a TV auction.

Anything over 25% and Joe Orlando comes to your house
personally to kick you in the nuts.....then takes your wallet.
  • Joe doesn't seem like much of a fighter... As for the chance of PSA giving any money back... NOT a chance!!

Lets say I buy a collection from someone. I submit the cards and some have been trimmed. I had no idea they were trimmed, actually that is the reason i sent them in. I wanted them authenticated and graded. Why should I be penalised further?

In the 80's I owned a shop and bought collections. Last year at the FW show I submitted some of the better cards for grading. Luckilly fpr me none were found to have been trimmed and most graded out as i expected. The only one not to was a card bought on ebay.
