. . . sung my ebay selling swan song.
"Hello there, I received your card today and I must say I'm not happy. A plain small brown enevelope would've been fine to ship and I would've received it no problem. But because you placed it in a box and asked for delivery confirmation I had to go pick the thing up at the post office since it would've fit in my mailbox and they can't leave it at the door since it needs confirmation and they also couldnt put it in the parcel locker either. I realize that the grading is not your responsibility but I'm still not happy with it. After examining the card I was really suspect of its grade, so much so I had to check it on the PSA website. The top left corner is rounded, not sharp; the top right and bottom right corners are slightly frayed; turning over the card to the reverse indicates further fraying. I really have to think that the PSA graders had an off day or were doing lines of coke that day because I do not see how they came up with this as a PSA 10."

If you did send it to him in a brown envelope (I think I know where this is going)
he would of definitely done the chargeback since he's unhappy with the card and say
he never received it. I'm assuming he paid with Paypal so you that's why you used the DC. I've never had
to pick up anything at the post office unless it required a signature (Registered, Signature Confirmation
Certified, and Express) or the parcel was just extremely large ie case. His carrier could of
left it on his door if it wasn't signature confirmation. It's situations like this where I'm glad
I don't leave FB first for buyers like this.
<< <i>You don't owe him any sort of explanation. >>
you merely explain to him why you're in the right...offer a refund...end of story. dont ignore him...or email him death threats. just do the logical thing. if he gives you problem, neg him and move on. life is too short to be worried over something trivial like this..especially when it's over a mike schmidt 1982 fleer card.

Good luck

and kick his ass..
To quote Fletch, "excuse you?". I don't think it's PSA that's doing the lines of coke.

That's why he's in a jail.
Perry, did you get the carton the cigs I sent you
last week?
Mac, you're right about his email just sounding whiny and he doesn't ask or imply that he wants a refund. He's just stating his disbelief with the card grade. Unless you want to respond to him; I don't think you need to apologize for anything. You didn't grade the card, and you delivered what was advertised. If you just want to refund him, well then that a whole different scenerio.
Ah hell....I agree with Perry; just kick his ass!

That's funny, she just left me a voice mail.
As for the topic:
When I used to do coke (emphasis on the used to), I swore my eyesight was much better. It seemed I could see things that no mere human could see.
To quote the movie Airport "They bought their ticket, they knew what they were getting into, let'em crash."
Don't sweat it - the buyer was just PO'd about the inconvenience.

AGAIN... all you have to do is post on EVERY auction:

"Card in condition as stated, quick delivery, packed way too well, good seller"

He's wrong for complaining to you but I do see his point about the grading.

E-mail the buyer and tell him that shipping graded cards securly in a box beats padded envelopes any day. Don't forget to mention that he should probably be cutting up some flowers in a meadow and singing songs with frogs instead of dabbling in something he knows nothing about.
