Hi darkside dwellers - question about Napoleonic Medals.
Do any of the originals have reeded edges? BTW, I LOVE Vern's site!

In answer to your question, yeah lots of them are reeded. They're the toughest to insure that they are originals because if the mint reproduced the edge they sometimes put their hallmarks on the face of the medal. And sometimes not. However medals with Napoleon on them seldom have decorated edges of any sort.
Here's a lawyer's jeton from Lyon:

The reeding isn't that obvious, but it's there.
