Don't feel too bad. There was something funky about that picture, and the shipping cost was outrageous. image

    Bummer.

    Offshoot question:
I won almost the exact same coin two years ago (1787 6p) with some nice toning and recently sent it in to be graded.

To my utter amazement it came back MS-65 image

Any ideas to its new worth in the slab?

I would bet yours didn't have altered surfaces. I can't say the same about the coin in the auction picture, though. image

Could you please explain what lead you to believe the item in question has altered surfaces?

The coin's surface toning seemed a bit grainy. It could certainly have been the harsh lighting, but the coin looked as if it had been sandblasted. It just didn't look right.
