GEM Grading?

OK, so I join this message board a couple months ago (or so) - a board on which graded/slabbed cards are discussed frequently. I know zip about slabbed cards, but I've had a lot of fun reading about & discussing Topps Heritage. I've owned a total of three graded cards, two of which I promply de-slabbed ('57 Koufax & '58 Koufax - PSA graded 2 & 3 IIRC). The other one is a BGS Fleer Ultra Platinum Kurt Warner /50 - graded 7.5 - I already had one in my collection, but it was cheap. Don't know what I'll do with it, so it collects dust on one of my shelves.
Anyway, I'm kind of an impatient guy, and didn't feel like building a 2001 Topps Traded set by hand. I've heard nightmare stories about the SPs, so I bought one on evilBay. Set got here today, well-packaged, couldn't be happier. And lo & behold, the Pujols/Ichiro card is slabbed in a GEM Grading Inc case, Gem Mint 10. Now, the seller advertised that the card was graded as a 10, but not by who.
So the question is, who the heck is GEM Grading, and are they one of those companies that will grade a newspaper photo as a 10?
Is it worth busting out and sending in to someone else? Or should I just bust it out and put it in the set where it belongs?

Well known for grading trimmed cards. You can try to send it in to another company but don't be surprised when it comes back ungradeable or 3+ grades lower. They don't crossover too well.

He was mentioned on the board and I said I didn't care for the guy. When I initiated a charge back he went ballistic! I got a call from him - Kane04. The guy apologized - this totally thru off my equilibrium!
The guy turned out to be a pretty good person except he "knows" that he is selling Gem crap.
I was disappointed to see Coach's Corner auctioning off this pile of crap!
The lot went for 3200$!!!!
I'll bet there isn't an untrimmed card in the lot!
