Picked up this 1887 JH crown today to add to my 1887 date set. Not bad huh?

    I was worried it was gonna be one of those ones with the colourful speckled tones that some US members go nuts over that look like they been dropped in an oil slick, but i opened up to see a coin that looks alot like the one i used to have, so i likes it! image

    I always had a soft spot for the Jubilee head crowns, well jubilee head stuff in general really.

    I had a near complete set once upon a time, only missing the sovereign and the Roman I Double Florin.

    Have you got one of the Double Florins, they truely are a coin to behold, the concave obverse field is a wonder makes the design look really swish.
