Is the 1900-O/CC M.D. considered part of the CC family...

or as an anomaly by the serious CC collectors; therefore, not highly sought to complete a CC set?image

Michael---I think you mean post 1893 (year cc mint closed) and over mintmark.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

The 1900 O/CC coins were struck from 5 reverse dies that were shipped from Carson City to Philadelphia when the Carson City mint closed. Philly re-engraved the O mint mark on the 5 dies and shipped them to New Orleans in 1900 and hence we got the O/CC coins! The neat thing is that quite a few interesting things developed in the dies as they wore and now there are 10 different VAMs:

    VAMs 7, 7A, 8, 8A, 8B, 9, 10, 10A, 11, 12
