Curiosity's killin' me!
When numeys send coins to NCS for "Conservation," what type chemical agents are used to "Conserve" the specimen in order to get it graded and slabbed?

<< <i>This is one of NCS conservation methods.
Yep, that's the best method.

You will not get a serious answer because NCS will not disclose their methods. Nothing sinister, just why openly discuss your trade secrets? There are several common methods involving organic solvents and other chemicals. A better question to post is why kind of methods are used for coin conservation (not specifically what NCS does). With that said, do a search through the archives as this has been discussed many times.
