I have a question about grading.
let say a coin has a EF40 reverse and a G4 obverse, then what will be the coin's grade?

That's a pretty extreme range on a single coin, G4-EF40. Is this a real coin or a hypothetical question? I don't mind grading each side of a coin separately, but the overall grade should not be an average of the two sides. In other words, G4.
