I will answer "E... None of the above".

    Here is why:
A does not work because it is stated that he likes MS grades and does not like UC at all, therefore the opposite would be true
B does not work because there is no comparison between the level of like from MS to AU (as is stated he "likes" each but not "loves" them)
C does not work because he "loves" Proof coins not "likes" them (although logically if you start a statement on a false premise then the conclusion can be assumed true)
D does not work because he does not like UC coins (see C for assumed true)

    Just my two cents.

sumdunce...I see where you are going, however, it is commonly assumed, when discussing a coin, that if you love a coin, you like it better than one that you like. Right? Therefore "C" is the correct answer.

Love is usally considered to be a stronger emotion than liking. Nuff said.

I think the answer is B. If he does not like UC coins would rule out the ms coins, and the only answer with any part of the question in it would be B.

  • I also think that answer "C" is the correct deduction.

    And I'm sticking to it!

Is this a job for syllogistic logic?
