My hope is that this special is an ongoing special that has nothing to do with the soon to be posted May specials. Gotta believe it will be the '70 & '71, Tall Boys and or '50's special. Everyone wants those three.

I also just noticed that this registry special includes non-sports and all sports, not just baseball. Shoot, I have a bunch of Wacky Packages I want to submit!

Which cards are you allowed to send in with the set registry special? Can you send high value cards? HOF players along with commons? Could I send in an entire year's worth of cards (1972 Topps baseball perhaps)? Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks.

    Bob
  • Oh, How I hope the 70's and 71's get included in the collector's club specials in May or sometime soon!! These two years always seem to get excluded!

    Bob,

You can send in anything from those years. Value doesn't matter.

I'm not sure if that's entirely true. I think you're still capped at a value of $500.

The promo makes no mention of a cap.

This is not the May special!!!! It is just a registry special. They haven't changed the April specials yet. I guess it is some type of bonus, and smallstocks is right there is no $500 max. Only catch is the 45day turn around.

What a totally lame special. I guess they don't listen to what the people really want.

But if you listen to some people here, FAST TURNAROUNDS are all the rage unfortunately. As long as submitters think having cards graded quickly is something good, they'll keep promoting crappy specials like this.
