Any luck with Fed. wrapped rolls?

I just bit the bullet, said "What the heck" and bought a roll of 2004 Peace Medal P mint nickels for fifteen bucks from my local dealer. How does one know if the rolls are actually Fed. wrapped. My roll was apparently wrapped by "Dunbar" cash vault services. Anyone seen these rolls and are they Fed rolls? Are the P mint mark nickels the ones that have the doubling. And where exactly is the doubling located on these nickels? Thanks for your replies as always.

The Mint's website doesn't have the Peace Medal nickels anymore but they all are like this keelboat nickel from the mint. Sounds like you brought a bank roll.

  • Yes, it is a bank roll. Where is the doubling on the Peace Medal nickels?

It is the armored car services that wrap the coins and put either the name of a bank (which could be the Fes Res bank or any old bank) on the roll, or in this case, Dunbar looks to have put their own name on it.

Yep, bank roll, could have anything in it. Could even be a mixed roll. No way to know without opening it and if you do that it's yours.
