Work has been busy, and somehow I missed this! On 3/27/05 Teletrade auction 2018, lot 1331 sold for
2,700.00. It is a 1959P Franklin PCGS 66FBL #21902966
Perhaps the buyer knows what they got; besides being condition-rare, it is toned, making it even rarer, and
now to top it off, having just looked at the image, it is a mega-rare type 3 reverse (Breen), an overstrike of
the type 1 (low-relief eagle) and type 2 ( high-relief proof eagle) hubs.
In this grade, it may be a one-of-a-kind, and worth 50K minimum....congrats to the owner!

Just pointing out a big-time rarity.....ED
Very cool coin

How can you tell the coin is a type 3?
Is there doubling of the eagle's feathers or some other diagnostic?
reverse is sometimes noticeable, but not always. Best way to tell is to look at the eagle, as it has characteristics
of both eagles....Ed
