Any idea what caused this 2005 buffalo to AT?

This has to be considered AT, considering that these coins just came out. There are some dark spots on the reverse, isn't that a sign of AT? I got it from a shrink wrapped roll from the bank, a lot of the coins from the bank were brown or dark in color... Think they got exposed to something either at the bank or from who ships them to the bank?

A collector return to the bank for more rolls. The experement did not meet expaectations. They need to work on there AT skills..............this one may have been simply a cull.

  • I've had some quarters come straight out of mint bags like that.....older bags. Was told it was from the bags.

  • The new State Quarters tone just like that, and seemingly very quickly.

I wouldn't call that one AT

i call it jefferson redux blue mood

see if you can get the first one you found slabbed by a major slabbing service as the blue jefferson discovery coin then

ask about it what others think on the boards then when people give you their honest opinions you can get angry and call them haters image then put them on sleezebay and sell them

reminds me of one really mad angry man hateing bull diesel lesbian

I don't think it's AT, either. Maybe something to do with the wrapper and/or the bags.

Judging by the brownish nicks in hte rim and the pattern of the toning in relation to those nicks, I would say someone has passed electrical current through it. JMHO

I wanted to bring this up as I just bought $1000 (2x$500boxes) of halves from the bank to go through.
95+% of them are 2001-D BU rolls (I have opened, probably, $700 worth so I am VERY certain they are 100% 2001-D BU in the rolls I haven't opened since I had less than 2 rolls have anything else).

A lot of them, over $100 and growing, have similar "toning". So, I would say the storage/wrapping/box. But, I did notice that a lot of the "toning" came off when I rubbed firmly with my thumb.
So, have you tried rubbing that "toning" away yet?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
