I'm not trying to pick on the seller but the buyers here. I called my coin shop yesterday to find these are selling for $118. All of these guys autions are closing between $125 and $160 plus shipping. Who's says you can't make money in modern coinage.image

Perhaps it's the phrase in the listing

This seller is running private auctions for his bullion items. In all likelihood he's using a shill to run up the price. This is the big danger of bidding on private auctions, you never see who's bidding against you. For this reason I never bid on these type of auctions.

  • I agree o nthe private bidders thing. If it has private bidders driving it up, you won't see me waiting for hammer time.

I'm still waiitng on a 1987 gold BU 1/4 oz. I did not overpay, I'm just miffed that my new coin shop/delaer Harlen Berk, would have opened a set and pulled out a 1/4 oz 87 for me for the same price I bought it for on ebay. For a 2004 or 2005 No way..
