My new prooflike bust half dime with wild color.

Bought this raw, in auction, as an ms64. Sent it in to NGC, came back an MS65. The coin has a phenominal strike and mirrored fields. My guess is this coin was one of the first strikes from the die.

I thought you just bought coins from 1828! I think this one is a burdon that is tainting your collection. PM me you price and I will give it serious consideration.

<< <i>I can't believe NGC could slab that and not give it a star. Nice coin. >>
Yeah well, what do they know?
I think you are saying NGC called it MS65 but did not give it the PL designation.

<< <i>Wow, it actually looks like a proof. Do these coins ever get a PL designation. If so, this one deserves it!

The 1829 is the most common Bust Half Dime PL. There have been ten 1829 proofs graded by NGC, 4 PLs, and one DPL. Pretty rare coins when talking Bust PL.

I have no ownership in this coin. Just thought some of you'd like to know.
