16th Birthday Giveaway! Winner announced in 1st post.

p8ntp8nt Posts: 2,947 ✭✭✭
Congratulations to ibzman350! Your'e the winner!

Hey everybody, Im in a really good mood as today is my 16th birthday and I just got my license (please no stay off the road jokes, they are really old and completely irrelevant to me image) So, I have decided to have a giveaway.... to ME!

Edited to add.. No, I didn't get any coins today. But I didn't get anything either. So maybe tomorrow? My family has an issue with giving gifts on the right day.. which is probably why I am giving stuff away on my birthday. Hehe.

Anyways, all joking aside, I have decided to have a giveaway. Seeing as I am just now 16, I don't have a BU 1928 Peace Dollar or Pan Pac to give you, but I will find something. (If you want a slave I can send you my younger brother image)

All you have to do is guess the total PCGS Price Guide Value of my PCGS slabbed coins. Please note the prices I am using are from PCGS not the current market value. The closest without going over wins! I will let you have a hint and it is that I have 43 slabbed coins, none are older than 1900, and they are all US coins. I will let this go until Saturday or Sunday I think.

I remember when I first got my license. My first car...1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible. Buckets, console (rare), 4-speed with Hurst V-Gate shifter (replaced the pistol grip), 426 Hemi with dual Holley 1150 Dominators, cam, Gillette G-60 skins on a set of Cragars, traction bars, line-lock, nitrous. Heck...there were even some quirky things about the car...image

Anyway, coingratulations! My guess is $497.69

    Cheers,

    Bob

Edited to add: The nitrous came about a year after I got my license so I wasn't TOTALLY dangerous...image. Gas at the time...a whopping 19.9 cents for regular. Sunoco 260 was selling for around 23 cents. It was a terrific car, passed everything but a gas station.

    Bob,

A 16 year old should not be allowed to own a car like that. Hell, I was bad enough in my mostly stock '63 Impala SS.

Congrats on making it to 16 these days.
More congrats to your parents on surviving driver's training with you image

I would guess (knowing that PCGS guide data is overblown by 20% or more) $1250.
I hope it is much more though image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Well, my first car......if you want to call it that, was a 1978 Scout!! I HATED IT!! Being a girl and all it was the LAST thing I would want but my parents wanted me to be in something that I would be safe in if I got in a wreck...you know that Colorado weather! My husband got the "cool" car...his words, not mine!! He had.......has......a 1965 Plymouth Barracuda! His parents bought it brand new in 1965 and passed it down to him when he was a teen and we still have it to pass along to our son who LOVES taking rides in it with daddy and granddad!! image

Anyway, My guess for your pcgs prices is $1650.00

Happy Belated Birthday. 16, Brings back excellent memories for me. Like the silver prices, I sold all of my circulated silver that year and made enough money to buy a used 1974 Mustang v-6 5 speed hatchback.
