Grades from across the street, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

I decided I would use my freebies on some "test coins" (coins that push the envelope) so I can find out where "the line" is. We're talking about Washington Quarters 1932-1964, of course. The first coin is dead on the money because of a slight scuff mark/ luster break in the right field of the Obverse. This was the same exact grade PCGS had it at.... BTW

Coin #2 was pretty radical as were 3, 4 and 5. Over the course of am entire year I left these coins sitting out on the Black Jeweler's Tray, doing absolutely nothing to them at all except flipping them over every 2 weeks. Hey, this is how we learn, right? Overall I'm fairly pleased...no real big surprises except for coin 2.

These last 4 coins toned rather radically and I thought 2 qnd 3 were shot 67s and that 4 and 5 were Gem BU. Here are the results of that test and that sumission. Thought I'd share this with all of you. All are gorgeous and the 32-S would be a 5 if not for that scuff mark. Some dummy at one point in time had a little accident that today makes a big difference in Premium.

Bummer! Nothing like a BodyBag to ruin a submission sometimes! But it looks good for 3,4 and 5 !! When did u submit? I sent in an order on 3/28 and it is still at the "Scheduled for grading" stage!
