My theory on the delayed Uncir Mint Set

By most accounts the face of Jefferson is kind of beat up on most of the coins.

I think they were making crappy coins and someone spoke up and said there is NO WAY they can ship that crap in the Uncir. Mint Sets.

So I think they had to start over in order to put out some quality coins.

Any thoughts?


Also, what's the difference between the Uncir Mint sets and the Mint Rolls being sold? Are they made different, handled differently, better? What?


I have some mint rolls and I was going to buy more, but I'm starting to think that the Uncir Sets might be the ones to get if you want a good quality P & D coin.

No the mint does not care about the quality of the Unc sets.
