Need a lil help on a 1880cc vam.....(dialuppers beware)

I think this is a vam 6, but i keep getting thrown off.....
1) The dash is there...But no remnants of the 7 in the 8 at all...
2) Nothing on the inside of the 0....
3) Nothing inside the first 8...
4) Dots are there in the CC....
5) Die scratch thru M is strong...but none by the wings....
6) Most all the reverse letters have some type of something goin on, not quite sure what...
7) Checkout the star...it's the one between America and Dollar on the reverse....


It's like a dang smorgasborg goin on....

Any ideas and help would be appreciated.....

Check out VAM 7. I see a bulge on the left side of the 0 at 10:00. I don't see much a an ear on the 8, but your pic is really bright there. I think I see the polish marks in the second 8. First 8 I see doubling at the top of the bottom loop, and something is going on in the upper loop.

That's what i originally thought, but there is no mention of the Die scratch thru the M or dots in the CC's?????

What do you think is going on with the star????

I've seen that die gouge in the letter "M" recently. I will try to research it later this evening to see where it was but don't believe it was on an 1880 CC.

obverse looks more like vam 3 to me with some traits on reverse but do not see anything about die gouge or the stars on reverse. have you checked update page at Ashmore.com. my updates only show vam 3a which does not fit either. do not see vam 7 in that coin with those pics try turning down light and reshooting
