For Morgan dollars, what percentage would the item have to be "broadstruck" before it would be considered and error?

I think it usually either is or isn't and not a percentage.

So would denticles need to be missing before it would be considered broadstruck?

For a coin to be broadstruck, there must be NO VISIBLE reeding. Any partial reeding would deem the coin a partial collar-sometimes a tilted collar.

Coins that are broadstruck can be so minor that you may not be able to tell. Others can be so huge that it is an awesome site.

But essentially the coin has reeding all the way around, but it is easily identifiable that one side (the rim) is far wider than the other.

Sounds more like a misaligned die, not a broadstrike.
