I'm back in the saddle; what digital camera should I buy this week; and today's Cameo cherrypick.

Posting my first thread in a number of days and thought I would use same to:
1. ask formum members what type of digital camera I should buy; and
2. mention a cherrypick I scored today.
I have some extra dollars and instead of buying a coin I want to buy a digital camera so that I can post pictures of some of my coins. I would like something that is good for taking pictures of coins and for taking regular pictures of family activities. I also do not want anything that is overly complicated to operate. I can devote a few hundred bucks to the purchase. What do you recommend?
Today's cherrypick is a 1961 proof set in a capital holder. Picked it up at a local jewery/coin/pawn shop for $10.00. The cent and the half are both lock cameos. The cent may even be close to a low end DCAM. The half has some haze that I will remove with a quick bath. I believe that both coins would go PF67 CAM. The cent has no carbon spots and neither coin has any hairlines that I can see. All in all a nice acquistion.

just bought 1 for 43 bucks on fleabay,i also have a Nikon 3200,paid like 200 bucks new.
Proof
Best camera you could get is a NIkon coolpix. The 3200 is a nice little camera, but I like the 4200. Its got great macro, and takes nice pics for everything else. VERY simple to use. Point and shoot basically. Any Nikon with macro would be a good bet.
Here...This was taken just for grins...I dont have a good light up set though...This was simply in room light and taken very quickly for the colors. Though...for some odd reason its one of my favorite pictures.

I now use a Nikon 5400 that also takes great pics. Bought it for $200 after $200 in rebates from Nikon. Tough to beat at that price.
