Make way for a new buffalo error - the dropped letter T "Touchdown" nickel

This one was found by a 14 year old girl who is a coin collector. She named it the "Touchdown" nickel. Pretty cool story by Ken Potter - Link to story

  • Yes, I heard about that. Her Mom contacted me about a month ago and asked me who to send it to, etc. Really a neat coin! I think she only had one or two of those max. She just mailed me another one of her errors also. Bravos to the YN!

That stray "T" is incuse, right? What is stopping someone from stamping a T on one of those? how did the error occur?
  • I have a 2005 bison nickel with an L on it and it isn't incuse. Can you all see it? It is on the top rear part of him....here's a zoomed picture....it's upside down. Cool hu image
