Can any body tell me where to buy small packets of dessicant? I want to put them in my PCGS blue boxes to keep moisture at a minimum while storing my coins. Would appreciate any help that you could give me. Bill Evans Bill-Patricia @softcom.net
I bought a big can of silica gel from Michaels, a hobby and craft store. Don't know if you have them in your area but they are a big chain. People use this dessicant to dry flowers for dry flower arrangements. They also had some little decorative bags that I filled to make my own silica paks.

There is also a chain of stores called "Hobby Lobby" they also carry silica gel in various sizes and different containers.

I use the small aluminum canisters to protect my safety deposit boxes. But if you can get a larger container in your storage ares - go for it. Bigger is better in this case.
I bought extra canisters so that every time I visit the SD boxes, I can swap out the dessicant.

Be sure not to let these stay in a container with coins when they are saturated.
