88-89 OPC Gretzky

Any idea why this card sold for so much?

88-89 Gretzky

Thanks

  • Because people pay ridiculous prices for cards trimmed from a sheet.

  • Maybe "amhockey" got tired of just putting all his little greenbacks in a pile and setting them on fire?

amhockey can afford it... he's the one with the 1980 OPC Gretzky PSA 10 1/1 currently on auction.

I just sent away a '87 OPC Gretzky to BGS which I think should get a 9.5. I plan on selling it once I get it back. Hopefully it goes for that kind of money. image

Good luck. My personal experience is that it's a lot harder to get a BGS 9.5 than one would think, especially with stuff before 2000.
