Anyone ever buy cards while staying in Mexico?

I'll be in Cancun next week and was wondering if anyone has ever had any luck finding vintage baseball or football cards while in Mexico?

    Interesting question.

    I have been to Cozumel many times and plan to go back to Mexico. I have never seen any card stores, but never really looked into it either.

    Same goes for Costa Rica, although there are many American expatriates there.

    I hear the SP Authentic Ron Mexico swatch jersey card is popular down there.....just be careful not to touch the swatch....you don't wont something you can't give back...AHEM.....

    Trust me, I'll be golfing, snorkeling etc....just thought it would be neat if I stumbled across a hoard of 77 Topps Mexicans or some old Mexican League items.......cant hurt to look.

    Doesn't that card come with a redemption for a free STD test?

    That Ron Mexico sure can run......but coming out of college they said he has small hands. Maybe now we know one of the drawbacks...no matter how popular it might be hard to pick up good women if you have small hands.

    At least he can give them a gift that keeps on giving.
