Grading opinions on this 1916 Lincoln cent?

I'd much appreciate the board's wisdom on the grade of this 1916 Lincoln, as I'm no cent specialist.
My own barely educated guess is that, while the strike is strong and the color is attractive, the nick
on Abe's cheek and the hits on the reverse may limit it to MS64. What say ye? Thanks in advance.

Something does not look right to me. I would say that it has been recolored. Do you have a more relistic image of the coin?

    I'd estimate 64RD (60%), 65RD (35%), body bag (5%) on a PCGS submission.

You are correct to presume that the true color of the coin is not reflected in my images, but I'm not sure how much I can improve them at the moment. image The coin as a whole is somewhat redder (i.e., less pink) than my photos show, though the rims tend toward brown and there are splotches of discoloration on Abe's cheek and jacket. I don't know if I've told you anything that you didn't already know?!

I haven't seen enough MS early Lincolns to pass judgement on the toning, so I appreciate your opinion. What do you think of the state of surface preservation? Again, thanks.

Did you by chance get the coin from "numiscent" or something like that on eBay?

    65RB

I don't think the color is bad, but I could be wrong. It's often a tough call.

I see 65RB, the reverse is the determining factor on that piece.

ms65 assuming the color is original.

This one appears to be an early strike. The hits on the reverse would drop it to 64 RD,along with the spot on Abe's lapel and the spot on the left wheat, IMHO. I was hoping it was the Proof 1916,but alas it isn't.

Thanks to all for your opinions. I BINed this coin for about $90 on eBay -- I thought it had nice eye appeal and maybe even was a proof (!?) based on the obverse texture. I now worry that I overpayed, given your opinions and my own inspection of the coin in hand. Thankfully, I can get a refund and I likely will.

    Thanks again!

not a proof, but it is a recolored business-strike that was high-grade before someone messed w/ it.

    i'd guess net ms-60.
