The Splendid Splinter in an Unknown Case

I found this auction kind of strange...

1957 Ted Williams

Note that the guy makes no mention of it being graded. However the scans clearly show that the card is in a slab, but the image has been cropped. The only things I can figure is that either it is in a bogus holder like PRO or the guy doesn't really own the card, and stole the scan. Too bad, it looks like a beauty. Anybody else with any ideas?

Well, he does have some PRO graded Tiger Woods cards for sale, along with what appear to be some real nice raw cards. You ask a good question, who would list a card in a graded holder and not state that it's graded?

It looks like a PSA slab. Either the scan is, uh, borrowed and cropped or he thinks it will bring more $$ without the flip showing. Maybe there's a qualifier for something not seen or described in the auction.

Look at the Banks rookie. You can see the trademark or whatever makers mark that is. I am pretty sure it is PRO that has that.
