I don't post here much but I thought that getting to 100% on my 1933 Goudey set was worth a shout. It is listed as "Steve's Excellent 1933 Goudey Collection" and I've got some scans posted as well. With a 4.82 GPA it is admittedly not of Smithsonian quality, but hey, there are only 4 complete sets on the registry and one of them is mine! With my 1952 Topps set this gives me two of the "Big Three" complete, but no, I have no aspirations to nail a T-206 set.

Steve,
Great job. Congratulations on 100%. How long have you been working on this one? You have a number of high quality sets out there. Is there anything in particular you are going after next?
Thanks for the scans.

Vintage golf, 1981-82 Donruss golf, and a few other odds and ends.
Congratulations! As a fellow collector of this set I can really apprciate your accomplishment. How long have you been working on the set? Any stories you would like to share about building/finishing it? When did you get the #106? Sorry, don't mean to bombard you with questions
Good Job!

Decided to go with the 38 Goudey set. Only three 100% complete sets. I'm only 3 shy of completion and am sitting at #6 on the registry. I would love to crack the top 5, but these 38s are so tough to find at the 5 and up level (my goal) its driving me crazy. I'm hoping the nationals can help me out.
Congrats again!!!!

The guts of this set is a near complete raw set I submitted at the National last year in Cleveland. To tell the truth I was more concerned about authenticity issues than grades, since I knew going in that it would grade between 4 and 5 overall. I was very happy to get the set back in less than a month with only one card rejected because of any alterations, etc.. and that one was a cheap common.
It took me about a year to assemble the raw set I submitted to PSA, with many of the cards bought at the 2003 and 2004 Nationals. I had previously bought a PSA 5 Ruth and Gehrig from Levi about six years ago, but save for those two cards I didn't own any 1933's to that point.
I still have several cats and dogs in the set (anyone have a PSA 5 or 7 #154 ??) and I want to get the entire collection to above a 5.00 overall GPA. My set is open for viewing and I would be happy to talk about upgrades!
