Honest opinions wanted on this Edward VI Shilling

I picked this up last week and wanted to get the honest opinions of the folks here. The coin is an Edward VI shilling from the Fine Silver Issue of Edward VI (1551-1553).

1. How would you grade it?

2. Do you like the overall look of the coin?

3. How much do you think it should be worth?

Thank you!

VF by US standards but probably AVF by British standards. The coin does not look original... but then again, how many are?

The eye appeal is neutral for me.

Value? These have moved up in value and I could be off here. I would say it should be in the $500-550 range.

    What the Mushroom said. image

Oh, wait- he ain't wearin' his mushroom icon, is he.

    You know who I meant.

What coinkat said, too... I would grade it VF but only by American standards. Were I on the other side of the pond, I'd go for aVF.

The obverse photo came out looking scuffy and much flatter than it really is, I'll have to try to get a better pic.
