You are correct about the reed marks on the obverse. I really should reshoot the reverse to show how strong the bell lines are. Not FBL but darn close.

how can a coin grade so high when there is obvious missing detail?
be bop a doola taught me that.
but then again, i have only studied gold libertys in depth. I know what
areas are the highest on the coin.
it looks like a strong strike. lots of wear to remove all that detail.
otherwise the words would "blend into the coin".
